Ending The Week

Friday 2/15/2013

Thank God it’s Friday!!!  Or so they say 🙂  Fridays can either be a relief or gives you tremendous pressure especially if you’re in sales.  This Friday is not the end of my work week.  I still had to go to our site project the following day to assist my agent with her clients.  But I’m not complaining….I am blessed to have a job 🙂

Friday 2/15/2013

For our Friday dress down day, I wore a white see-thru blouse with triangle collar, skinny jeans and a white and black wedge shoes with Pearl necklace and pearl earrings.  I love pearls and every Filipina should have pearls in their jewelry box 🙂

Friday 2/15/2013

And they say “Thank God it’s Friday!!!”  Oh yeah!!!  After work I headed to the newly opened iHop restaurant to meet a friend who’s visiting from Norway and some other friends.  There was a long waiting time before we were ushered to a table.  Wow, it was a long wait but worth it.

You bet I tried all the pancake syrups they had…There goes my diet but no regrets 🙂

It’s Sunday!!

Sunday 2/17/2013

I just noticed this weekend I’ve been wearing white 🙂  Well, you can never go wrong with white, you can pair it with just about anything 🙂  Dawned a loose white shirt with silver metal like pocket, faded skinny jeans and silver Toms shoes, such comfy shoes 🙂  Ready for church!!!

I took this shot right after church.  It was a sunny day, I don’t know why it looks gloomy in this shot but it still looks beautiful.  This Sunday, Zoie (my grandchild) was not able to come with me. I missed her but it gave me time for myself, ME time 🙂  I always like spending weekends with her.  Usually after church she likes me to take pictures of her and she would pose as a model. Hahaha!  If you’ve read my previous blog you know what I mean 🙂  Well, this Sunday, I was by myself thou I miss her but i was able to have time for myself, I moved about without worrying about her.  Hahahaha!  You know how kids are, they are full of energy and I need to keep up with her 🙂  I’m looking forward to seeing her tomorrow.

Clean Perfume

I just had to share this…This perfume smells ohhhh so good and refreshing.  True to its name it smells like you just came out of the shower.

Well, that’s my weekend wrap.

Thanks for stopping by, would love to hear from you. Interesting to hear from people you don’t even know and maybe end up as blog friends.

Brown Butter Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies

NOTE:  RECIPE BELOW IS TO MAKE ONE BIG COOKIE ADOPTED FORM PICKY PALATE BROWN BUTTER SALTED CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES GOOD FOR ONE…I just doubled the measurement and opted to make smaller cookies to be able to have more cookies)

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons beaten egg
  • 6 tablespoons Gold Medal all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • heart marshmallows to top the cookies after baking it (optional)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and line a baking sheet with a silpat liner or parchment paper.
  2. Place butter into a small saucepan over medium heat. Swirl and cook butter until browned, takes 3-5 minutes. Once you see brown bits on the bottom of the saucepan, butter is browned. It will be a golden brown color. Remove from heat. Make sure to let the butter cool for 5 minutes before adding to other ingredients.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the sugars and browned butter. Stir in the egg, vanilla, flour, baking soda, salt and cornstarch. Stir in the chocolate chips then transfer dough to prepared baking sheet. Press evenly into a round then sprinkle with salt if desired. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool on cookie sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.
  4. fix cookies in a plate and top with heart marshmallow for an inviting look.  Now, you’re ready to serve 🙂

My Grand daughter had a blast decorating these cookies with heart marshmallows and was so excited to serve it to us.  She had this proud look and her eyes were beaming with joy.  It does not get better than that 🙂

I thank the good Lord for pocket blessings like this 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and would love to hear from you 🙂

Monday Work Attire

I”ve always love to dress up and keep myself updated with the latest trend in fashion.  I also like experimenting in dressing up.  There are days that I want to go with bold colors and lots of accessories and there are days that I just feel drab but still manage to look good (or so I think LOL) I’m doing this section of my blog to keep a journal of what I wear everyday and look back at it and maybe laugh or cry because i made a faux pas in dressing up for a certain day LOL!

I go to work from Mondays to Fridays and sometimes on weekends too (arrrggghhh) Oh well, you gotta do what you have to do 🙂  Monday to Thursday I have to be in business attire and Fridays is dress down day in the office, meaning you can wear jeans but no sleeveless tops hahaha. So, This is what i wore today for work.  A gray polo dress and used a black wide belt on my waist for accent and gray pumps.
